Comrades;
There is a bad situation at the moment concerning Ballard Post 40 and the Department over the Post's accusation that the Department refuses to provide its Financial Information to the Post. This issue has been brewing for some months now and has culminated in Post 40 opening a Class Action Lawsuit against the Department, theoretically including all Washington State Posts.
What follows is information I, as District Vice Commander, received on August 8th. I want to share all of this with you, the men and women of Post 10.
I will be meeting with Dale Davis, our Department Adjutant on August 9th, and if I glean any further information, I will certainly share it with you.
The last page below is a letter from a Post stating it declined to join the lawsuit. On August 11th, the Post 10 EBoard decided to ask you to vote whether to decline being in this lawsuit or not at our meeting on September 8th. Take the time to read all the materias,
